WHAT IS FREDERICK STRETCH THERAPY™?
Frederick Stretch Therapy™ is a pain-free, unique, complete, and complementary system of table-based assisted stretching, focusing on the fascia and joint capsule as the key elements in achieving optimal flexibility, strength, performance, and pain relief.
FST assesses and improves restrictions in the body. FST improves the mobility of your nerves and flexibility of your muscles and fascia by focusing on the fascial nets that connect through, and wrap around muscles, nerves, organs, and just about everything else in your body.
Each FST session is individualized to each client and the practitioner and client work together with breath and movement to target any restrictions in the muscles, fascia, and joint capsules.
FST is one of the quickest, most effective, and most pleasant methods to eliminate pain, restore function, move and feel better in activities of life, fitness, and sports!

ABOUT
My Journey
Throughout my life, I’ve approached every challenge with enthusiasm, creativity, and ceaseless desire to achieve success. This passion and drive have paved the way to countless opportunities, unique experiences and exceptional relationships both personally and professionally.
In 2013, I decided to make a life change. My entire life I had been overweight, even clinically obese for long periods at a time. Living this way was exhausting. I experience chronic pain from endometriosis and polycystic ovaries, and my poor diet and habits only compounded the pain I felt daily. I was only 33 years old, but I felt so much older. So, I joined a gym that recently opened near my home. My friend taught me how to cook for myself with healthy options. I hired a personal trainer, and sought the guidance of a nutritionist. I replaced my bad habits with healthier habits.
A year later, I had reduced my body fat by 14%, losing 60 pounds of fat, gaining over 20 pounds of muscle, and slimming down from a size 14 to a size 6. Aches and pains that plagued me for years were diminished or eliminated once the weight came off. My blood sugar levels improved and the insulin resistance I had taken medication for years for had been resolved. This wasn't just a physical transformation for me, but an emotional one as well. I had new found confidence, self esteem, and a general sense of well-being and happiness that I had never experience before. The literal weight I had lost was the figurative weight from my shoulders as well. It was the greatest sense of accomplishment to make these changes, and I loved myself for it.
It was then I decided I had to pay it forward. I left my career as an Interior Designer, and studied to become a personal trainer.
I was hired by the club that had helped me with my transformation, however I quickly outgrew that environment and my desire to educate myself and grow as a trainer led me to Equinox.
During my time in both the Paramus and West 92nd Street locations, I seized every possibility for continuing education that was presented. A particular area of interest for me was corrective exercise. I was amazed to learn about how the body compensates for itself when something is unbalanced. Figuring out how to help my clients minimize or alleviate pain is like a puzzle, and I love figuring out the pieces.
Early in my Equinox career, I was exposed to Fascial Stretch Therapy™ . It was incredible and nothing like I had experienced before. I knew this was an avenue I would eventually pursue, so I focused on courses that would prepare me for my studies.
Fast forward to October 2019, and I had the life-changing experience of attending Stretch To Win in Arizona for my Level 1 FST™ certification. Being there allowed me to realize that this is what I am meant to do. I am meant to help others with my knowledge and touch. Nothing I have ever done professionally has given me such a reward as a client getting off the table and saying "I feel so good!". I immediately registered for Level 2 in February of 2020. I was like a child waiting for Christmas morning!
Level 2 was even more incredible, I made amazing friends, have an incredible support system, and they are like family to me. I learned techniques that I immediately implemented into my practice and my clients are reaping the benefits.
Level 3 and Sport Specific training lie ahead in late 2020, I can't even imagine what I will experience in the months to come!
UPDATE ( 12/2020 ):
Level 3 Fitness and Sport Specific is now complete! I am one of only 244 Specialists in the world!
It is amazing that I can learn so much more about myself by working on others and being around the absolutely wonderful people I completed training with.
UPDATE ( 8/2023 ):
I have been living and practicing in Phoenix for over year and a half! I moved to Phoenix when I accepted an instructor position at Stretch to Win, where I completed my education. Working directly with Ann and Chris Frederick has been such an illuminating and amazing experience, and so much more than I had even imagined. Spreading the love and power of FST to students has been incredibly fulfilling.
I also built amazing relationships with clients at Lifetime - Biltmore, but now my time there has come to an end. I have been focusing on building back my private business, as well as taking patients at Scottsdale Sports Medicine Institute, under the supervision of Dr. David Carfagno.
