WHAT TO EXPECT - HOW TO PREPARE  - ADDITIONAL INFO

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR SESSION:

Please complete all forms
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing (workout attire is typically best), nothing too short or restrictive.
Shoes off, socks optional

Each session is unique and personalized to the client on the table. Please be sure to discuss any pain, discomfort, restrictions, or issues you may be experiencing at the beginning of the session so that I may plan accordingly and address as much as possible during our time together. The intake form provided (on "Forms" page)  is essential to helping me understand how I can help you.

WHAT TO DO/EXPECT AFTERWARDS:

HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE!!!
While you will feel relief immediately, the benefits of FST continue well after your time on the table ends. FST is most effective when you are consistent with your sessions, much like diet, exercise, and hydration. Typically, after 3 sessions there is a feeling of greater and longer lasting relief. FST can create space not only in the connective tissue, but in the joint capsules as well. Your body will want to flush that "cellular waste" that was trapped, and as in massage or heavy training sessions, your CNS (central nervous system) will have to work hard to flush any of that "cellular waste" from your body (refer back to that HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE!!! instruction above!). You may feel very tired afterward, you may feel a continued releasing of discomfort or tension later in the day or even the next day, or day after that! You will likely have a great night of truly restful sleep, allowing your body to enter and/or increase the time in stages of sleep that provide true recovery. How your body responds is unique to you. Some clients prefer to schedule their workouts prior to our sessions to give them a boost in performance; others choose to stretch after a workout so that they can relax and decrease the instance of DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness). There are no restrictions regarding activity after a FST session.
